This notice explains what personal data this website collects and what we do with it. In short: if you join the waitlist we keep the details you give us (only your email is required), if you write to us we keep the message, we use Cloudflare to host the site, we do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or analytics tools. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time.
7Analytica, the platform, is not available yet, so there are no accounts and no product data here. This notice will be updated when that changes. It is read together with our Terms of Use and Cookie Policy.
§ 1Who we are
- 1.1
7ANALYTICA INFORMATION INTELLIGENCE PRIVATE LIMITED (“7Analytica”, “we”, “us”) is a company incorporated in India with its registered office at 3rd Floor, Plot No:55, Villa Gooncha Hills, Kokapet, Rajendra Nagar, K.V. Rangareddy, 500075, Telangana, India. We decide why and how the personal data described here is used.
- 1.2
To the extent each applies, we are the “Data Fiduciary” under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”), and the “controller” under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
- 1.3
Write to us at bhuvanchandra@7analytica.com.
§ 2What we collect
- 2.1
The waitlist. Your email address is required. If you choose, you can also give your name, your phone number and its calling country, how often you follow the news, how many recent stories felt misleading to you (a number from 0 to 10), your industry, whether you have relied on misleading news, and a free-text note about what would help you. We also record when you joined, and which wording of the consent you agreed to.
- 2.2
Messages you send us. If you email, phone or message us through LinkedIn, we receive what you send and your contact details, and we keep the conversation. The Contact and Collaborate pages open your own email program; we receive the message only when you send it.
- 2.3
Technical data when you visit. Like any website, our hosting receives your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for and the time. We do not build visitor profiles from it. To limit abuse of the waitlist, the form’s server keeps a short-lived counter per visitor. It is made from a one-way hash of your IP address and a ten-minute period, never the address itself, and is deleted after about twenty minutes.
- 2.4
On your device. The site stores a few small items in your browser (see our Cookie Policy). They are used to make the site work and to remember your choices. We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics.
- 2.5
What we do not collect. We do not ask for passwords, payment details, government identification numbers or sensitive personal data such as health, religion, or political opinion. Please do not put them in the free-text note or in a message. The site has no accounts, so there is no sign-in data.
§ 3Why we use it
- 3.1
We use waitlist details to keep a list of people interested in 7Analytica, to tell you about development and early access, to invite people when early access opens, and to understand who is interested and what would help them, so that we build the right thing. We use the optional answers only for that purpose.
- 3.2
We use messages to read them, reply and, for collaboration enquiries, to decide whether and how we might work together.
- 3.3
We use technical data to deliver the site, keep it secure and limit abuse.
- 3.4
We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.
§ 4Our legal basis
- 4.1
India. We process waitlist details with your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time. We process messages and technical data for the purposes you can reasonably expect when you contact us or visit a website, and where the law allows us to.
- 4.2
European Economic Area and United Kingdom. Where GDPR applies, our lawful bases under Article 6(1) are: consent for the waitlist (you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting what was done before); our legitimate interests in answering messages, keeping the site secure and preventing abuse, balanced against your rights; and, where it applies, legal obligation.
- 4.3
If you choose not to give optional details, you can still join with only your email address.
§ 5Who sees your data
- 5.1
Cloudflare. We use Cloudflare to host and deliver the website, to run the function that receives the waitlist form, to keep waitlist entries in its database service, and to serve some images and films. Cloudflare processes that data for us under its own terms and data protection commitments.
- 5.2
Email and communication providers. When you email or message us, your message passes through your provider and ours, and we use the email service we run the company mailbox on.
- 5.3
People who work for us. The founder and anyone we ask to help us run the waitlist, bound by confidentiality, and only as far as they need.
- 5.4
When the law requires it. We may disclose data if we believe in good faith that the law, a court or a public authority requires it, or to protect rights, safety or security.
- 5.5
A sale of the business. If we merge with, or are acquired by, another company, personal data may pass to it on the same terms as this notice.
- 5.6
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
§ 6Where it is processed
- 6.1
We are based in India. Cloudflare runs a global network, so data about your visit may be handled in other countries, and waitlist entries are stored in the location of the database we use. Where the DPDP Act, GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the safeguards the law requires for such transfers, such as the contractual terms our provider offers.
§ 7How long we keep it
- 7.1
Waitlist details: until you ask us to remove them, or until we close the waitlist, and for no longer than we need them for the launch and early access. If we close the waitlist, we will delete the details or tell you what we are doing with them.
- 7.2
Messages: for as long as the conversation lasts and for a reasonable time after, so that we can follow up, and longer if the law or a legal claim requires it.
- 7.3
Technical data and rate-limit counters: our hosting keeps routine request logs for a short period under its own settings. The waitlist’s counters are deleted after about twenty minutes.
- 7.4
When we no longer need data, we delete or anonymise it.
§ 8How we protect it
- 8.1
The site is served over an encrypted connection (TLS). The waitlist form only accepts submissions from the site itself, checks and limits what it receives, uses parameterised database queries, and does not store your IP address. Access to the waitlist database is limited to people who need it and is protected by the provider’s account controls.
- 8.2
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we find a breach that puts your data at risk, we will act to contain it and, where the law requires, tell the authorities and the people affected.
§ 9Your rights
- 9.1
You can ask us to: tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy; correct it; delete it; stop using it or remove you from the waitlist; and, where you gave consent, withdraw that consent. You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you where the DPDP Act allows. Write to bhuvanchandra@7analytica.com from the address you gave us, and say what you want.
- 9.2
We will reply within one month, or within the time the law sets. We do not charge for ordinary requests. We may need to check who you are first, and may decline a request where the law allows or requires, and we will say why.
- 9.3
Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
§ 10Grievance Officer
- 10.1
Under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the DPDP Act and the rules made under them, our Grievance Officer is Bhuvan Chandra Dabbara, Founder, 7ANALYTICA INFORMATION INTELLIGENCE PRIVATE LIMITED; email bhuvanchandra@7analytica.com. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer.
- 10.2
We acknowledge a grievance within twenty-four (24) hours and aim to resolve it within fifteen (15) days of receiving it, or within any other period the law sets.
§ 11Complaints to authorities
- 11.1
Please contact us first so that we can put it right. If you are not satisfied, in India you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act provides. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may complain to your local data protection authority, or in the United Kingdom to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
- 11.2
Where you live elsewhere, you may have similar rights under your own law, and you can use the contact above to exercise them. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
§ 12Children
- 12.1
The website and the waitlist are for people aged eighteen and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen. If you think a child has given us their details, write to us and we will delete them.
§ 13Cookies and similar technologies
- 13.1
The site sets no cookies of its own. It uses your browser’s local and session storage for a few essential items, such as your cookie choice and the display theme you picked for this visit, as listed in the Cookie Policy. We do not use advertising or analytics technologies today. If that changes, we will update this notice and the Cookie Policy first, and ask for your choice.
- 13.2
We honour Global Privacy Control signals as a request not to sell or share your data. We already do not.
§ 14Other websites
- 14.1
The site links to other websites and to email, phone and LinkedIn addresses. Their privacy practices are their own. Please read them before you use them.
§ 15Changes to this notice
- 15.1
We will update this notice when what we do changes, for example when 7Analytica opens and has accounts. We will publish the new version here with a new version number and effective date, and if the change matters to people on the waitlist, we will try to tell them by email.
§ 16Contact us
